M P Manby, Esq., lived at Denver Cottage, Denver, in Norfolk. His wife’s letter of June 10 1770, about forthcoming local marriages, is preserved in the manuscripts of the Marquess Townsend. The death of M P Manby’s daughter at age 50, Miss Maria Spencer Manby, is listed in the August 1800 volume of The Monthly Magazine, which refers to ‘the late M P Manby’.
